Refund Policy

Overview

We want you to feel confident in your decision to join Seat Theory. This Refund Policy explains when refunds are available for the Operator Certificate and for Operator memberships, and how to request one. It should be read together with our Terms of Use.

The Operator Certificate

The Operator Certificate is a live, cohort-based program with a limited number of seats. Because seats and materials are committed to you when you enroll, refunds are governed by the following window:

Full refund: You may request a full refund within fourteen (14) calendar days of your purchase, provided you have not attended more than the first live session and have not completed more than the first module of course materials.

After that window — or once you have participated beyond the first session — the Certificate is non-refundable, because the program’s value (live instruction, access, and materials) has been substantially delivered.

Operator Memberships

Operator memberships are recurring subscriptions. You may cancel at any time from your account or by contacting us; your access continues through the end of the current paid period, and you will not be charged again after cancellation.

Except where required by law, membership fees are non-refundable for the current billing period, including partial periods. We do not provide prorated refunds for unused time.

How to Request a Refund

To request a refund, email hello@seattheory.com from the email address associated with your purchase, including your name and order details. We aim to respond within two (2) business days.

Non-Refundable Situations

Refunds are generally not available where: the applicable refund window has passed; you have substantially completed or accessed the program; the purchase was made under a promotional or discounted rate designated as final sale; or a refund is requested in bad faith or in connection with a violation of our Terms.

Chargebacks

If you believe you are entitled to a refund, please contact us first so we can help. Initiating a chargeback or payment dispute without contacting us may result in suspension of your account and access while the matter is reviewed.

Processing & Timing

Approved refunds are issued to your original payment method. Depending on your bank or card issuer, it may take five (5) to ten (10) business days for the refund to appear after we process it.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. The version in effect at the time of your purchase applies to that purchase. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.

Governing Law & Company

Seat Theory is operated by FivEye, LLC, a California limited liability company doing business as (“d/b/a”) Seat Theory, based in Los Angeles, California. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Except as otherwise provided in our Terms of Use (including any arbitration or dispute-resolution provision), any dispute arising out of them will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Los Angeles County, California, and you consent to their jurisdiction and venue.
